On the 18th of Octobre in 1913,
which is the day the "Völkerschlachtdenkmal"
was dedicated, Klara Berneiser inaugurated the 
"Hotel und Restaurant Voelkerschlachtdenkmal".
 
Bruno Berneiser earned his money to built this house
as a waiter on a luxus steamship. Unfortunately he
died before the hotel was inaugurated. 

Klara Berneiser and her son Helmut did all the work
by themselves and managed everything successfully for many
years. The vernacular used to call our hotel affectionate
"The black tie".
